Nets for Life: LMI @ CIT

This year, the Concordia Invitational Tournament is pleased to join forces with the Lutheran Malaria Initiative (LMI) to educate and excite students concerning an important global Christian issue. A child dies from malaria every 60 seconds; nearly 700,000 people perish each year from this disease; it affects the impoverished and the disadvantaged the most. And yet, malaria remains preventable and treatable.

The Lutheran Malaria Initiative is part of a global focus to help end malaria deaths in Africa by 2015. The "Nets for Life" activities surrounding our CIT weekend at Concordia-Chicago will encourage awareness, raise support and invite young people to become engaged in a cause much larger than themselves.
