March 13, 2019 - Two years ago, the cheer portion of the CUC Cheer/Dance team traveled to compete in the Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM. This year, the dance team will make their way to Myrtle Beach, SC to compete in the same event as part of their 2018-19 competition schedule.

At least eight college dance teams are scheduled to be on hand at the Sheridan Convention Center. The competition begins at 10 a.m., with the Cougars slated to perform their jazz routine shortly after 11 a.m. "We've worked hard at this routine throughout the year," says CUC cheer/dance coach Dirvelys Allen. "We feel it is a strong routine with good choreography, and with the practice we have had, we feel that it is a precise, clean and sharp routine."

The Cheer Ltd. Nationals will form just part of a busy month for CUC, as they will compete March 31 at the NACC Dance Championships at Concordia University Wisconsin.
