CHICAGO – The Concordia University Chicago women's track and field team continued the indoor season on Saturday afternoon when they took their marks at the Windy City Rumble hosted by the University of Chicago.
The Cougars put on a show on Saturday afternoon, with numerous student-athletes breaking personal records.
Kayla Armstrong highlighted the day for CUC. Armstrong won the 200m with a time of 26.01 which is the second fastest time in the NACC and 18th best time in the nation so far this season. Additionally, Armstrong won the 400m with a time of 59.02 which ranks third in the NACC and 19th nationally. Because two events wasn't enough, Armstrong joined Ali Wingood, Diana Almazan and Angelina Nichols to compete in the 4x400m relay. The CUC relay finished second with a time of 4:15.64.
A school record also fell at the Windy City Rumble. Simone Wilson competed in the 800m and ran a 2:20.57 to finish fifth. That time beat the previous school record by three seconds.
