MILWAUKEE, Wis. --- Taking to the track and field on a cold and windy day in Milwaukee, the Concordia University Chicago men's track and field team competed at the 2022 Warrior Invitational on Thursday afternoon. Despite the rough conditions, multiple Cougars were able to put up personal bests on the day. The day was highlighted by
Maximilian Woywod's second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles.
Woywod took home the highest honors of the day for CUC, finishing in second place overall, but the highest Division III finisher in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.31. His run on Thursday is the third-best in the NACC so far this season.
Adrian Mendez ran a personal best in the 800 meters.
Callum Hardwicke finished 14
th overall in the 800 with a time of 2:06.22.
Marquis Overstreet had a solid day for CUC, recording a personal best in the hammer throw with a mark of 30.48 meters.
Martin Egbo finished 13
th in the hammer with a mark of 38.22 meters and 16
th in the shot put with a throw of 11.36 meters.
Andres Salvador also recorded a personal best while finishing 15
th for CUC in the long jump with a mark of 5.59 meters.
The Cougars will return to action on Saturday, April 23
