Four Cougars Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

RIVER FOREST, Ill. --- After putting up record-setting performances all season long, Simone Wilson, Kayla Armstrong, Madeline Bobinski, and Zahra Sammour from Concordia University Chicago women's track & field have been recognized as 2022 Outdoor All-Region performers in the Midwest region by the USTFCCCA.

"I'm really proud of our women's team this year and everything they've achieved," said Head Coach Steve Belanger. Receiving six honors is an all-time high for our program and is a great accomplishment, with us competing in the deepest track & field region in the country!"

To qualify for an All-Region honor, the athletes need to finish the season ranked top-5 in their region.

2022 national champion Wilson earned two All-Region honors in the 400m hurdles and the 400-meter dash. Wilson closes her historic career with six outdoor All-Region honors. Bobinski also was a two-time All-Region honoree in the javelin and the shot put. 2022 national champion Armstrong was an All-Region runner in the 400 meters, giving her six outdoor All-Region honors in her career. Sammour was All-Region in the triple jump.
