BOURBONNAIS, ILL.- The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) women's track and field began the 2025-2026 indoor season at Olivet Nazarene University, racing in the ONU Holiday Open. It was a great start to the season with many finishing top ten performances and personal bests.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Four Cougars finished in top ten of the one mile run, as Izzy Fairless (Royal Oak, Mich.) finished second overall with a personal best time of 5:39.11 and Rosey Losey (Royal Oak, Mich.) followed in sixth with a time of 6:12.23. Marlena Butler (Norridge, Ill.) finished ninth with a time of 6:43.66, Lydia Anderson (Carpentersville, Ill.) shortly behind placing tenth with a time of 6:43.78.
- Addi McKee finished second for the 800m with a time of 2.53.46. Butler followed behind in third while Amya Marquez (Berwyn, Ill.) took fourth.
- Both Kirsten Bockhorst (Union, Mo.) and Aniyah Isom (Chicago, Ill.) finished top ten in the long jump, with leaps of 4.92m and 4.84m, respectively. Bockhorst finished fifth and Isom finished eighth.
- Ashley Vasquez (Riverside, Ill.) finished eighth in the 60m dash with a time of 8.50.
- Harmonie Cooper (Chicago, Ill.) set a new personal best for high jump with a leap of 1.48m, she finished second overall. Noor Sammour (Berwyn, Ill.) finished just behind with a mark of 1.43m.
COUGARS PERSONAL RECORDS
- Madison Hipshire (Riverview, Mich.) raced in the 200m with a new personal best with a time of 28.67.
- Velda Ndang (Plainfield, Ill.) set a personal best mark of 6.00m in the weight throw.
