BLOOMINGTON, ILL. -- In their final non-conference match of the regular season, the Concordia University Chicago Cougars headed to central Illinois to take on the Illinois Wesleyan University Titans. Despite the Cougars fighting through their last few matches, they dropped this match against the Titans 7-0.
DOUBLES
- Brianna Bentz (Whitehall, Mich.) and Hannah Upole (Hinkley, Ohio) put up one point in their match while Sarah Gustafson (Merrill, Wis.) and Abigail Krueger (Brookfield, Ill.) picked up two points.
- The Cougars would fall in all three matches, giving the Titans the doubles point.
SINGLES
- Gustafson had a strong fight in the No. 6 match, falling in the first set 6-4 and the second set 6-1.Â
- Amirah Shakir (Dekalb, Ill.) picked up some points in her match, falling in the first set 6-1 and the second set 6-2.
- Krueger would be the only other Cougar to put up a point in singles, falling in set one 6-0 before battling in set two 6-1.
