River Forest, Ill. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's soccer team was back at Concordia Stadium for a Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) midweek matchup against the Scarlet Hawks of Illinois Tech. The Scarlet Hawks made their mark with two goals in the first half, drowning out the Cougars with a final goal in the second half. The Cougars couldn't overcome the advancement and fell 3-0.

First Half
- The Cougars immediately began their retaliatory attack; Barrera forced a save from the Scarlet Hawks in the third minute. The Scarlet Hawks pushed back, forcing a save from Gudiel in the fifth minute.
- Gudiel continued to rack up saves early on; in the 23rd minute, Gudiel limited a Scarlet Hawks advancement with two back-to-back saves.
- Right at the end of the 30th minute, a Scarlet Hawk was able to make it past the Cougars' defense, scoring the game's first goal into the bottom right side of the net.
- The Scarlet Hawks made quick work in making their second goal, a penalty goal kick into the bottom right side of the net in the 33rd minute.
- The teams closed out the half, the Scarlet Hawks leaving the Cougars trailing 2-0.

Second Half
- Things slowed down in the second half, many throw-ins for both teams, along with another attempted shot from Barrera.
- In the 73rd minute, the Scarlet Hawks scored their 3rd goal into the top left side of the net, sinking the Cougars further.
- The teams fell back offensively, both struggling compared to the first half.
- Gudiel managed one last save before the half ended, the Scarlet Hawks sweeping the Cougars 3-0.
