MILWAUKEE, Ill. – On the road, the Concordia University Chicago (CUC) women's soccer team competed against Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) in a conference matchup. The Cougars knew it would be an intense battle with the Raiders and both teams walked away with a 0-0 draw.
 
Inside the Box

• Naomi Gonzales (Santa Rosa, Calif.) recorded three saves.
• Natalie Flores (Placentia, Calif.), Mia Hirayama (Mililani, Hawaii), Reagan Espinoza (Ventura, Calif.), and Presley Alvarado (Oxnard, Calif.) each recorded a shot for CUC.

 
First Half

• The Cougars found their way into the attack first with a shot from Hirayama in the eighth minute.
• Both teams settled in and fought for possession and their opportunities. N. Flores created space for herself in the 19^th minute but wasn't able to find the back of the net.
• CUC's defense continued to stand firm, disallowing any quality opportunities for the Raiders.
• Gonzales made a save in the 37^th minute which was enough to keep the game level into the halftime break.

 
Second Half

• The Raiders came out on the stronger foot, heading to the Cougars' defensive end. Gonzales made two important back-to-back saves in the 56^th minute to keep the game level.
• Strong defense from CUC kept the ball away from their own net and stumped the Raiders into having limited options forward.
• Espinoza took a chance in the attack in the 66^th minute but missed over the net.
• Alverado also had her opportunity fly over the bar in the 80^th minute.
• While the Raiders continued to press, CUC's determination and grit prevailed, leaving the teams scoreless at the end of the game.

 
What's Next
